Sew-ciety
Greetings my sewing sisters,
I am excited we are finally having an in person meeting again.
First, thanks again to all of you who turned out or sewed at home to make our pet bed sew-in a success. We completed 41 beds on sew day, 5 were made at home. Beds are still coming in, so our total donated will continue to grow.
This month we will be making an easy stack-n-wack project. Please bring 5, 10″ squares of cotton fabric coordinates. Prints that play well together work best. Also bring thread to match your project. Machines will be available for our use or you may bring your own.
Please bring your show-n-tell. I expect there is a lot as we haven’t been together in a few months.
When: Friday, May 17th
Time: 7pm-9pm
Where: Needles and Bolts
6819 Germantown Ave.
Phila., Pa 19119
Zoom Option should also be available – link in Members’ Only page
We look forward to seeing you there,
Carol & Rhonda
What we do:
Do you have a sewing question or problem with a project? We are the group to help. We have members from beginners to expert sewing teachers and have lots of experience with all sorts of sewing projects. We meet to share projects, patterns, tools and techniques related to sewing. This past year our projects included: experimenting with creating a pattern from a completed garment and creative uses for our scraps. We had several area trips including fabric shopping in Fabric Row and visiting a clothing exhibit at a museum. We also participated in a community service project at a local retailer. Come share your creations and meet others that share your love for sewing!
