Material Girls
What we do:
The Material Girls (NG) meets at JoAnn Fabrics, Springfield, Delaware County every 2nd Monday at 6:30 p.m.

JUNE Some news for our meeting next Monday, June 10th. We have a new meeting place since the JoAnn’s isn’t available. We will be able to meet in the Smedley Park Environmental Center in Springfield from 6:30-8:45. Their address is 20 Paper Mill Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
The program will be Accu-Quilt, Part 2, given by Renee. She will bring her Accu-Quilt machine and demonstrate cutting a microwave cozy. If you wish to take home some of these pre-cut cozies, please bring some fat quarters and 100% cotton batting to the meeting and Renee will use the cozy die and cut both the fabric and batting for you to take home and sew these very handy items for gifts or to keep for your own kitchen. Each cozy requires two 11″ squares of 100% cotton fabric, and two 11″ squares of 100% cotton batting. Everything has to be 100% cotton since the cozy’s get microwaved and other materials may cause sparking when heated. Food-themed cotton is fun to use for making these cozies, and you don’t have to use two of the same fabrics for each cozy.
We won’t be meeting in July and August for the summer months. We will resume our meetings the second Monday in September, on the 9th, at this same location.
Bring your Show and Tell items, and think about a theme to be used for when we make our basket for the Annual Meeting.
