Who we are and why we are:
Fashion Sewing & Chat was started by Mary Vallere and Glenda DeLillo to encourage fashion/garment sewing. We meet in Berks County, PA. There are many groups in ASG and other organizations that focus on other types of sewing, crafting, and quilting. This group is designed for the sewer who wants to share, learn, and encourage fashion sewing. We are open to beginners and advanced sewers.
Our goal is to help you learn about construction and fit so you can make clothing that you are proud to wear. We love learning about fabrics and new pattern manufacturers. We share knowledge and experiences assisting in fitting, identifying fabrics, finding supplies, and sewing techniques from basic, tailoring, to couture. We discuss patterns and how to adjust them. All types of garment sewing for women and men are welcome. We love to show our creations, successes at our meetings.
**We do not sew at our meeting and we do not allow non clothing items to be shared nor do we allow discussions on quilting or crafting. It is all about garment sewing.
